Daughter of the late J. Alphonse LeBlanc and Cecile Thibodeau LeBlanc, she was also predeceased by her brother, Ronald A. LeBlanc, of Cumberland, Maine.
At the age of nine Mariette immigrated to the United States from Nova Scotia with her family. Following her grade school education she then matriculated and graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Waltham, Massachusetts. She also had a degree from Boston's Shephard-Gill School of Nursing which led her to the medical field where she worked before relocating to Maine.
She is lovingly remembered by many family members and friends including her sister, Simone LeBlanc Rogan of Milton, Massachusetts. Simone is joined in her fond memories of Mariette by her husband Paul Rogan and their children Paul Jr., Monique and Justine and their extended families. They are also joined in their sorrow by Mariette’s nephew Crispen LeBlanc and family of Roy, Utah.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Portland Center for Adult Living and Maine Health – Maine Medical Center for their care and compassion.
Services will be private. Mariette's life may be celebrated by spreading joie de vivre (zest for life) in your path, one of Mariette's personal qualities.
