Mary Lucy Hodgetts

Mary was born February 14th, 1927, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Mary Latimer and James Toomey. She was married 46 years to Edward Hodgetts who passed away in 1995. Mary retired from the US Post Office as Manager of the Personnel Department. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her sister, Rita Toomey, and sister-in-law, Ann Vincent; her six children, Patricia Hodgetts, Ann Hodgetts and fiancé, Frank Collins, Sharon Hodgetts Strout, Paul Hodgetts, Marie and husband Skip Carter, and Michele and husband Donald Murphy. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ben, Justin, Gretchen, Elise, Breanne, Katelynn, Kyle, Dylan; and her great-grandchildren, Bella, Waylon, Ava, Seamus, Jaydyn, Stella, Gus, Kennedy, Adelaide, Kyle, North and Ari. Also surviving are her special friends at Park Danforth.

There are no visiting hours scheduled. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary at 11:00 am on Friday August 19, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 673 Stevens Avenue Portland, Maine. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. A celebration of Mary's life will follow at Bruno's Restaurant from 2 until 5 pm. All family and friends are welcome.
