

She was born on January 3,1937 to Richard & Melinda (LaPierre) King and was a lifetime resident of Portland. She graduated from Cathedral High School and married Milton Keniston in 1963.
Mary enjoyed telephone work at NE Telephone, Scarborough Downs, and AAA where she retired in 2002. Her best memories are traveling to Ireland and Nova Scotia along with other destinations including Disney, Washington DC, and Niagara Falls. She was a devoted season ticket holder for the Maine Mariners and Portland Pirates hockey teams. She enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Patrick's Church and was a parishioner at The Cathedral.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Patricia Foley, Maureen Waters and one brother Richard King. She is survived by her three children Karen Gendron and husband Michael, Debra Keniston, Kevin Keniston, sister in law Carol King, two grandchildren Amanda Belanger and husband Thomas, Christopher Gendon and wife Brittany, one great granddaughter Valerie and another great granddaughter to be born in the fall, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to A Time of Visitation on Wednesday April 8th from 3 PM - 6 PM at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street in Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday April 9 at 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress Street in Portland. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway in South Portland. A reception will be held at Jones, Rich and Barnes after burial at Calvary and all are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maine Cancer Society or Maine Alzheimer's Foundation.
