Portland-Patricia Ann Whiting, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. The daughter of Dominic and Virginia (D’Arcangelo) Germaine, she was born on November 14, 1939 at the Maine Eye and Ear in Portland. She grew up on Newberry St. She loved her family spending time with them on holidays and at the beach. She enjoyed painting little sculpture and Christmas decorations. The St. Peter’s Bizarre was one of the highlights of her year. She volunteered as a “foster grandmother”, for Portland schools. She also served for two years planning outings on the Franklin Tower Committee, trips to Foxwood being her favorite. She loved playing Bingo, going to the park, going to the theater, and recreations trips. She worked for and retired from Supreme Slipper.
She is survived by her significant other Raymond Gilson, her children, George Cavicchi, Elizabeth Deschesne Godard and her wife Mary Godard, Laura Fairbrother and her husband Rick Fairbrother, Patrick Daly, and Deanna Raymond and her husband Butch Raymond; her grandchildren, Amanda, Allison, Theresa, Dustin Daly and his wife Betty Daly, Richard Bailey and Mathew Godard, nine great grandchildren, and her sisters Susan Joyce and Debbie Bedard.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland
