Patrick Anthony Watson

Patrick grew up on Peaks Island where he spent many days living the quiet island life. Patrick resided with his family in Portland and Casco, ME, and Peoria, AZ.

He worked as a deckhand at Casco Bay Lines for many years and enjoyed meeting old friends and new people on their journeys to and from the islands. A proud member of the Pipefitters, Steamfitters and Plumbers Union, Local 217 and 716, Patrick was proud to "build America". These travels allowed him to work at plants and mills in the North East and would take him to corners of the South West where he helped build computer manufacturing plants and other high tech industries. His work would bring him back to the Northeast where he continued to maintain friendships and make new friends.

He knew Bill W. and was especially proud of his continued sobriety. He attended meetings Kittery and other locations throughout out Maine where he enjoyed the company, and coffee, with everyone he met.

Predeceasing Patrick was his father Richard.

He is survived by his 3 sons; Nathan and his wife Andrea and their daughter Hazel from Westford, MA; Kevin from Portland, OR; and Zachary and his wife Heaven from Fruitdale, SD and their mother, Elizabeth. Also surviving is his longtime companion Dana Knudsen; his mother Marie Watson of Peaks Island, ME, brother; George and his wife Hyo Chong, their children Danny and Sumi of Las Vegas, NV; brother Michael and his wife Kimberly, their sons Lucas and Cooper of Portland, ME; brother Sean and wife Margret of Falmouth, ME sister Renee and husband Lou and their daughter Caleigh Mills of Peaks Island, and brother James and wife Tanya, and their children Jacob and Alexis of South Portland.

A period of visitation for Patrick will be held this Monday July 27, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home,199 Woodford St., Portland.

In the fall, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Patrick on Peaks Island followed by a private graveside service.
