Falmouth- Patti Leighton St. Pierre, 83, passed away from a long term illness on November 8, 2023. The daughter of Eugene and Emma (Sheridan) Leighton she was born in Berlin NH on August 6, 1940. Her family moved to Portland when she was young so she grew up in Portland and attended Portland schools graduating from Deering High School. She earned a degree from business school in Portland, and started working for Maine Medical Center where she worked for many years. She had her two sons during this time and years later married the love of her life Allen P. St. Pierre Sr. They enjoyed many years traveling together on cruises, going to casinos, and traveling to many countries. While visiting Italy she went to Vatican City and had the honor of meeting Pope John Paul II. They belonged to the Elks Club, and enjoyed having friends over to play bridge and cribbage.
Patti was predeceased by Allen, and her son Michael Warren Smith, her granddaughter Michelle Smith, and her four brothers Clarence Coffin, Francis Coffin, Philip Coffin, and Eugene Leighton.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey Smith, and his fiancée Melissa St. John, of Gray, her granddaughter Melissa Smith, and her cat TC Kitty.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM in Blanchard Cemetery 215 Winn Rd. Falmouth.
