

Freeport-Raymond Blake age82 of Portland died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at the Hawthorne House in Freeport. He was born in Cumberland, Maine on September 27, 1930 the son of Albert Charles and Catherine Lynch Blake. He was the youngest of seven children three brothers Pearly, Herb Sr., and Richard as well as three sisters Hazel, Gladys, and Dorothy. Mr. Blake, after high school graduation, proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He married Evelyn Adams and they have been married 55 years raising two sons together. He worked for the City of Portland Public Works Dept. where he worked for 33 years. He will be sadly missed by friends and family.
Mr. Blake is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of Freeport, two sons Raymond K. Blake Jr. and Danny and daughter in law Angelina Blake, a brother Herb Sr., and six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday evening January 11, 2013 from 4 to 6 P.M. in the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday January 12 at 10:00 A.M. with Herb Blake Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, Maine.
