

Richard H. Rombalski, 77 years old, of Windham, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Gosnell Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in South Portland, Maine on September 1, 1936, the son of the late Henry and Julia Rombalski. Richard graduated from South Portland High School in 1955 and the University of Maine at Orono in 1959 with a degree in Chemistry. He worked for S.D. Warren for over 25 years. In 1960, he married his long-time high school sweetheart, Margaret J. Ordway, of Portland. The couple raised their three sons together in Windham. Richard worked with A.B. Dick and also started three businesses Repro Technologies, Spectra Graphix, and R.H.R. International. Richard loved spending time with his wife from sitting on the back porch, to day trips to the Maine Coast, and their longer visits to Florida. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf ,and watching the Red Sox. Richard treasured time with his three grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Julia Rombalski; sister Anne Miller; and brother Edmund Rombalski.
Surviving are Richard’s loving wife of 54 years, Margaret J. (Ordway) Rombalski of Windham; sister, Wanda Lincoln of Auburn; children, Michael J. Rombalski of Connecticut, Patrick H. Rombalski and his wife Helen of Needham, Massachusetts and Richard H. Rombalski and his wife Christine of Lewiston; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Joseph and Joshua.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation from 4 – 7pm on Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 919 Roosevelt Trail in Windham. A reception will follow at the church.
