SOUTH PORTLAND - Ruth Elise (Kanitz) Mills, 83, of South Portland, passed away Oct. 31, 2017. Ruth was born on Aug.13, 1934, in Trier, Germany.
Ruth was the wife of Charles J. Mills, and a mother of five children, her son David W. Mills and Suzanne, daughter Linda Roberts and Jim, son Bruce Mills and Robin, daughter Gail Cordie and Manfred, and daughter Sandra DiBiase and Nick; sister Helga Hofmann and husband Herb, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, from 4-7 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at 10 a.m., in the veteran's area of New Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
