Anna was born one of 6 children on May 19, in Portland Oregon. Her husband Salvatore proceeded her in death, some 30 years ago, in 1981. Mom is survived by her daughters Barbara MacDonald (Kent), Janice Vermeer (Don), and her favorite son John Giunta (Rita). She has five grandchildren: Tony, Jamie, Josie, Benjamin, Nicholas, & two great grandchildren: William & Ian. Anna married to Sal on July 20th, 1947 and was a home maker (house hold CEO), all of her married life.
Mom enjoyed physical fitness through jogging, walking, and TV workouts with Joe LoPrinzi using custom dumbbells. She participated in a mixed doubles bowling league AKA: “Friday’s”, with their lifelong friends, the Frutigers. Anna was an amateur fruit/pickle canner, but were not sure if she loved the process or just made it happen every year. She became known as “Aunt Tan”, to all of her nieces and nephews, it was just easier to say. Mom especially enjoyed her time hanging out with the grand +g/grand children, and her moments in the sun when time & weather cooperated. Mom will be forever remembered for her strong sense of family and traditional values….
She moved to Town Center Village in 1989, developed numerous life time friendships, and was active in community events. Mom passed away on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:03PM; the Family would like to take this moment to share their appreciation with TCV staff and Providence Hospice team, for their extraordinary care over the last 22+ years.
