Anna Greta Franzen was born November 5, 1931 in Spirit Lake, Idaho to Kurt Oscar and Nanny Whilhelmina Franzen. She grew up in Baker City, Oregon. After graduating from high school, she moved to Spokane, Washington and attended beauty school, only to make a career change into the field of accounting. She was then a homemaker from the early 1980’s until the time of her death.
She met her future husband Milton Herman Keller while tending bar in Portland, Oregon in 1952, and they were married in September of 1953. Oddly enough they were both only children. They welcomed 4 children, Michael (Linda), Mark (Sally), Matthew (Patty) and Michelle.
Greta, as she was more commonly referred to, enjoyed trips with her family when the kids were younger, and took twice yearly trips to Reno with her husband and at times with close friends. She loved the Oregon Coast and many times they took their motorhome and the grandchildren for long weekends. In later years she enjoyed taking the casino buses to Spirit Mountain and Chinook Winds on occasion.
Greta will always be remembered for her kind heart and sweet smile.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton and is survived by her 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
