

Barbara Jean Aspinwall was born in Salem, Oregon on October 12th, 1929, to parents Raymond Chesterfield and Ruth Ella (Marquis) Aspinwall. She graduated from Washington High School in Portland, Oregon. She attended Lewis and Clark College for 2 years. She married Leroy (Roy) Goecks in Portland, Oregon on April 21, 1950. From their union came three sons: Michael, Donald, and James. Barbara was a loving, devoted wife and mother and she was a wonderful homemaker.
She traveled the world over; Barbara made many trips on land sea. She, along with her husband Roy and many friends, visited Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Australia, and Central America. Barbara loved flowers and gardening and she was a member of Lake Oswego Garden Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge with friends, going to stage plays, listening to cool jazz music, and really enjoying life.
Barbara was President and owner of Pacific Truck Colors, Inc., a truck painting and repair business in Tualatin, Oregon. She was also a valued and supportive help for her husband Roy's businesses.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents Raymond and Ruth, and son, Michael. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Leroy "Roy" of Lake Oswego; her sons Donald of Brooklyn, New York, and James of Camas, Washington; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Her brother Dean Aspinwall resides in San Jose, California
A celebration of Barbara's life will take place in Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon, on Friday, January 11, 2013, at 1PM. Viewing will be held for the public at noon in Skyline Chapel before the ceremony. A reception will follow the chapel ceremony in Skyline's hospitality room.
