Bruce graduated from Parkrose high-school and received an Associate Degree from Mt. Hood Community College. Bruce was in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman in Pittsburg California from 1969-1973. After his Navy service he had various careers, the last landing him in Food Service working for the Oregon Department of Corrections at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, until his retirement in 2014. He was a member of AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) and worked as a union leader.
Bruce had a passion for fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, downhill skiing, playing video games, the Minions, Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Action movies, and having a Scottish heritage. He is survived by his son David and daughter Jennifer, grandson Kylan, and sisters’ Jan and Carol. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, October 29th at Lincoln Memorial Park.
