

Carol Patricia Logan, age 75, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Hillsboro with family at her side ending decades of suffering from debilitating pain. She was born in Colonial Manor, New Jersey, and County of Gloucester on June 22, 1942 to John Charles Richartz and Dorothy Lowell.
Carol had the most beautiful voice and participated in both the Portland Opera and Seattle Opera as a vocalist. She was a choir director who brought out the best in her choir members; she worked as a Purchasing Agent for Bushwacker; a bookseller; accountant; and homemaker.
Carol was an amazing cook, loved the beach and loved to travel. She was a connoisseur of art and had a knack for decorating. Carol was dedicated to her faith in God, loved the temple and reading the scriptures.
She was fiercely loyal and protective of her husband, Jerry. She was his confidant, lover, support and loving partner. For her children and stepchildren, she was committed to creating memories, beautiful surroundings, and upholding family traditions. To her grandchildren she was a source of love, child-like magic and a deep commitment to their wellbeing. Her great grandchildren were a source of wonder and delight.
Carol is survived by a loving husband Jerry Logan; a younger sister, Jill Lueb; a younger brother, Mark Jackson; two daughters, Carrie Lynn Hughes and Lisa Jo Moore; four step-children, Geoffrey Logan, Sean Logan, Tiffany Logan, Sterling Logan. She leaves 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Carol’s parent’s, older brother, Lowell Jackson, an older sister Judy Richartz, and a stepdaughter Brittainy Roberts predeceased her.
