Charles Tom Thomas Horton

Charles married Dorothy Alma Briggs on April 3, 1943.

Charles was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp from March 1942 - October 1945 during World War II. He also attended the University of Portland for 3 years.

After being Honorable Discharged from the Army Air Corp in 1945 he became the Foreman at Harr & Horton, which did road construction. He later became a partner in Horton Construction Company in 1947.

Charles hobbies were hunting & fishing.

Survivors include two daughters, Victoria Wahlman, of Portland; and Carol Powell, of California. Three granddaughters Beverly Wood; Debbie & Deanna Powell and a grandson Earl Powell, Jr.

His wife Dorothy passed away on February 8, 2006. Charles will be laid to rest with Dorothy at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.

Visitation for Charles Horton will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes.

A Funeral mass is being held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church followed by a Reception. Following the reception will be a committal with Military Honors at Willamette National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
