Charles J. Landers, 56, of Portland, passed away December 21, 2011. He was born on August 14, 1955 in Portland, OR. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and was a volunteer and mentor to many students over the years at Franklin High School, where he worked in the woodshop and art department.
Charles is survived by his parents Marie & Mel Stanislawski of Portland; brothers Gary, Dennis, & Michael Landers, Ken, Don, & Mike Stanislawski; and sisters Glenda Merrill, Doris Silva, Peggy Landers Krotz, Lisa Larson, & Shirley Valdez. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Arnold Landers, Sr., and his brothers Mario & Lewis Landers, Jr.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Portland on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00am. Visiting hours will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park on Wednesday from 1:00pm until 5:00pm. A committal service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Willamette National Cemetery.
