Charlotte grew up in an area called the Entiat Valley in Washington. She was married to Robert Francis Dissmore on November 9, 1951 in Tacoma, Washington. During her working life, she was a telephone operator with Bell, but primarily was a homemaker raising her family.
Charlotte enjoyed Tole painting and painting on canvas. She loved nature, swimming, plants, trees, and gardens, and her family.
In her last five years of life, Charlotte was happy, kind, and excitable.
Robert passed in 2003. Charlotte is survived by her children, Rhonda Hedahl and her husband Ray, Tamalee Kloosterman, and Lachelle Normine; sisters Marjory Packwood, Sheryl Long, and Sheila Askov; and by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, September 9 at 11:00 am at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a 12:30 pm committal service at Willamette National Cemetery.
