She graduated from the University of South Carolina and held a masters degree in social work from Portland State University. She was a committed social worker in the emergency department at Legacy Health Systems. She was also an artist, singer and writer. Throughout her life, she dedicated her time to helping others find their own voice through her support and strength. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother to her three children.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurel Jacobson of Portland; son, Sam Jacobson of Friday Harbor, WA; son, Ben Jacobson of Venice, Calif.; and granddaughter, Emily Jacobson of Friday Harbor, WA.
