

Clark Fordham, 93, of Oregon City, OR passed away on February 5, 2012 at Gilman Park. He was born March 31, 1918 in Kidder, South Dakota; the youngest of seven children. At the age of sixteen, he left home and worked as an apprentice on a weekly newspaper. After becoming a journeyman printer, he moved to Minnesota.
He met Florence Cline in Winnebago, MN. They were married August 23, 1940 in Rapid City, SD. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
Clark moved his family from Minnesota to Mitchell, SD in 1947 continuing his career in the newspaper business. In 1955 he moved his family to Roseburg, OR to accept a position of machinist for the Roseburg News Review. He retired from the News Review in 1974 and moved to Portland. His avocation was repairing small engines and ran a successful mower repair shop out of his home.
Clark was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Florence. He is survived by his three daughters; Gloria Young (Bernard) of Medford, Janet Clemente (Pete) of Oregon City, and Judith Pence (Ken) of Longview, WA; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, Portland, OR.
