Don died September 12, 2025 in Portland, Oregon with his family beside him. He was predeceased by his son Victor Walton and his sisters Eleanor Lawson, Margaret Fleming, and Lorraine Fenwick. He is survived by his wife Arleen Walton and his children Mike (and Linda) Walton, Suzanne (and Allen) Dawson. He has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and the “out-laws” whom are not blood-related but are considered family.
A funeral service will be held at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary on September 27, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Portland Youth Philharmonic, Victor Walton Memorial Scholarship Fund.
