Dorie Roberts

In 1954 she graduated from Gering High School and in 1955 married LeRoy Greif in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. Dorie worked as a waitress until 1958 when she married Richard Roberts in Chihuahua, Mexico and became a full time homemaker.

In 1970 Dorie moved to Portland and began taking business classes. Upon graduation she went to work at Multiple Listing Services and later, The Conifer Group where she worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 2001.

She was a past member of F.O.E. East Portland, Aerie 3256, and enjoyed league bowling. She was a generous woman with great wit and a big heart. Friends were family and she opened both her heart and her home to those in need.

Dorie passed away on May 27, 2015 surrounded by the love of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Roxanna Singletary of Portland; son, Richard Roberts of Vancouver; sisters, Ruth Ross of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Pat Harpole of Mitchell, Nebraska, Judy Cash of Bedford, Texas, and JoAnn Rein of Gering, Nebraska; and four grandchildren. Dorie was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Edna Groskopf; her brother, William Groskopf; and her son, Robert Roberts.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
