Earl O. Smith passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born in Sidney, Montana, on February 14, 1939, to Lee and Sue Smith. Earl was raised in Montana, Vancouver, Washington, and Portland, Oregon.
Earl served in the United States Air Force, he worked as a Fire Fighter and Crash Rescue specialist, a role he was proud to fulfill. After completing his military service, Earl attended Clark College in Vancouver, WA, where he completed two years of study. He went on to build a career as an engineer and welder.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Harding; his grandson, Dustin Harding; his sister, Lynn Marshall; and several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. A private family celebration of life will be held in his honor. Earl will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
