

Edith was born on August 18, 1937 to Elmer and Elizabeth (Tilton) Andrus. She was a 1955 graduate of Franklin High School. On October 21, 1955, she married Frank Edwards at Grace Baptist Church in Portland. As a homemaker, Edith raised three children. She enjoyed sewing (especially for grandchildren), league bowling, and was a Campfire Girls leader as well as being involved, with Frank with local Little League, where they ran the snack shack during games. They also loved to travel, having visited Victoria, Canada several times, as well as many long motor home trips throughout the United States during retirement. She especially enjoyed a family cruise in 2001, and loved having her family together. She was a lifelong Oregon resident.
Edith was preceded in death by her sister: Margie Coker and Barbara Berrier.
Edith will be missed by:
her husband of over 60 years, Frank Edwards of Portland;
their children Denise Krehbiel and husband Norm of Longview, WA, Shelly Dell and husband Larry of Portland, and Frank Edwards of Portland;
sisters Evelyn Stewart and husband Bruce of McMinnville, OR and
Marilyn Clay and husband Roger of Parker, CO;
brother Chuck Andrus and wife SuNae of Beaverton;
grandchildren Jennifer Albertson and husband Andy of Eagle, ID, Jason Krehbiel and wife Helen of Longview, and Michael Dell of Beaverton;
and great-grandchildren Aubrey Albertson, Carter Albertson, Zach Gillman, and Emily Gillman.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Edith’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. in Portland.
