Edith Lucile Eldridge passed away peacefully on September 5th , 2013 at the age of 95. She was born February 20th, 1918 in Drain Oregon and was the only daughter of Frank and Annie Smith. She married Perry Hern Jr. and moved to his hometown of Skagway Alaska and had two children together. They later divorced and she moved to Roseburg Oregon and then married Noel Eldridge and had a son together. They operated Westside Auction and in 1960 moved to Salem, owned and operated Eastside Furniture Auction on Silverton Rd.
In 1974 she moved to Portland and was the manager of Orange julius at Mall 205. She lived in Portland for 22 years and then retired in Longview, WA.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Hern; two brothers, Leonard and George Smith; and a son-in-law, Frank Tennant.
Edith is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Tessie Eldridge of Keizer, a daughter, Marcia Tennant of Longview, two granddaughters, Jenny Tennant of Longview, and Julie Earls of Kelso, three grandsons, Michael Sumpter and Bryan and Jason Eldridge; 10 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Jack Smith of Camano Island, WA
