

Eileen Nance was born to James and Doris Nance on November 14, 1950, in Portland, Oregon. She grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and graduated from Sunset High School. She entered the workforce, mostly working as a bookkeeper or accountant. She later moved to Bend, Oregon for a time before returning to the Beaverton area where she decided to go back to school to earn her associates degree centering on medical coding at Portland Community College.
Eileen was a devoted sister and guardian to her youngest sibling Joyce. She was a strong advocate and close friend to her. Eileen loved to take Joyce to the movies, out to eat, and bowling. They were very close sisters and they always looked forward to seeing each other.
Eileen enjoyed time with her niece Bobbie and nephew Joseph (J.D.) during their school years. Later she enjoyed seeing her great nieces and nephews. She often came to their sports events and to holiday family dinners.
She is survived by her brother-in-law Butch, niece Bobbie, her husband Steve, their children Ariana and Damian, J.D.’s wife Cindy and their children Alexia and AJ, and her great-great niece Lyra.
A graveside service for Eileen will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary & Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225.
