Georgia Lea Knight Finley

Georgia had four children, David, Laurence, Debra, and Janet. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Georgia was a lifelong Baptist, but started taking a good friend, who was unable to transport themself, to the Oak Grove Methodist Church. She enjoyed the church so much, she decided to stick with it.

Georgia enjoyed gardening. She could grow anything and everything. Once she even grew a pineapple from the top of another pineapple. Her daughters remember it was the best pineapple they had ever had. Georgia also enjoyed quilting with her friends from church. In fact she had been working on a quilt that, due to her passing, she was unable to finish. Her friends completed the project for her, and presented the quilt to Georgia's family.

Georgia passed away December 28, 2011 in Milwaukie, Or. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. Georgia is survived by her children, David Finley, Laurence Finley, Debra Champion and Janet Jewell; nine grandchidlren, and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Finley and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Georgia's name to the American Cancer Society.
