

They loved Gloria and were always there for her, encouraging her their entire lives. Her Father was a trapeze artist for Barnum & Bailey and a golf professional. Gloria inherited her father's aerobic abilities and zest for show business.
Gloria had family and cousin's growing up in Wisconsin, which she referred to as a free range childhood with many great days to enjoy with her favorite cousin, Richard.
She spoke fondly of her family.
Gloria graduated from Central High school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with top honors and placed in the top 100% in a psychological test given to the graduates for the college aptitude exams.
After leaving Minnesota, she traveled to Portland Oregon and discovered that she had talent as a dancer. She started a career in the 1960s as an exotic dancer and entertainer Gloria's stage name was Julie Rogers and her show became quite popular.
She was known as "Queen of the Tassels" !
In addition to entertaining, Gloria attended computer classes and was one of the first women in Oregon to do so. Just before retiring she enjoyed serving as a bartender as she loved people and conversation. Gloria spent the last 4 years of her life in a beautiful care home called the "Feathered Nest".
It was amazing!
She loved coffee, chocolate treats and antique treasure hunting.
Yes, and especially cats and all animals.
She enjoyed books, gardening, ice skaters, Broadway shows, music and crafting.
Gloria was a beautiful, intelligent and special person. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and those who loved her.
She peacefully passed away Friday May 9th, 2025.
