Golda was born and raised in Eugene and had lived in Portland for more than 50 years.
She loved to travel, visiting Europe and the Holy Land numerous times. She was a devout Christian — her well-worn Bible testimony to the many hours she spent reading and studying. She was preceded in death by her husband Merle Ellsworth.
Her family included sons Kenneth and Danny Young and daughter Gloria, grandchildren Jeffrey, Joshua and Travis; great-grandchildren Aaron, Lucas and Joseph; and two stepdaughters and their families.
She was laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Happy Valley.
