

Guy Wendell Chaffee was born to Guy & Evelyn Chaffee at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan and died peacefully at home in Milwaukie OR at 86. He spent his early years in Camas WA then moved to Portland where he attended Alameda Grade School, Grant High School and the University of OR. He married & divorced Peggy Pargon. He worked at the Oregonian, Sony, Landing Tour & Travel, as well as other jobs. He also lived in Lincoln City OR and Birch Bay WA. His passion was his antique collecting and selling. He collected many interesting things such as clocks, bottles, guns, fishing equipment, Indian baskets and other artifacts. He was an avid globe trotter, visiting Europe, Australia, Mexico, many other locales and cruises. He was also a golfer, fisherman and bird hunter, establishing a family legacy duck hunt to Kalmath Lake for over 60 years. He was a member of the Mayflower Society, an Elk, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Al Kader Shrine. He is survived by, Roberta, his wife of 43 years, his brother Merritt along with his wife Mary Lou, his son Mike, daughter Cindy, step-children Dave, Steve & Joe Imholt & Maria Sagmiller, grandchildren and great-children. His sister, Sue Wagner predeceased him. His kindness, generosity, and quick wit & smile will be greatly missed.
