Harold Paul Rosenau was the youngest of three sons born to
Donald and Emma Rosenau in St. Louis. Missouri. He met and married Mozelle Grove, his neighborhood sweetheart in 1942. He served in US Coast Guard during the war and the couple came to Portland in 1953. He began working for Nabisco in his youth in St Louis and ended his 43 year career as the foreman of baking in the Portland plant.
Mozelle, his loving and faithful wife of almost 69 years preceded him in death in 2011. He was a proud father and is survived by his five children; Shara (Smith). Terry, Lance, Rhonda (Basaraba), and Clay; and nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Harold was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church for 50 years. He will be remembered for his active life style, strong spirit, sharing his garden produce and expert gardening tips and passing on his love of fishing to his sons.
He was honest, humorous, and in charge right until the end.
