Herbert Charles Kalei'okalani Lyman

Herbert “Herb” Lyman was lovingly called Home to be with the Lord and his Ohana on April 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 7, 1951, to William Lyman Jr. and Gladys Hoapili Lyman, Herb was one of thirteen children.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle; children Dutchess Hoapili, Sean (Rachel) Wela, Herbe-Gail (Tev) Lyman, Adreann Randle, Andrew (Hannah) Lyman, Sarah Lyman, Jonathan (McKenzie) Lyman, Elizabeth Lyman, Benjamin Lyman, and Emily Lyman. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His siblings Mary Kapuwai, Gladys Kapuwai, Kenneth Lyman, Robert (Cindy "Sweetie") Lyman, Lisa (Greg) Perreira, and James (Bobbi) Lyman, along with many nieces and nephews, also carry his memory forward.

Herb will be remembered by his deep love for God and close-knit family. Over his 38 year career, Herb built FloorCovering Specialists, a commercial flooring business, impacting many lives along the way. Herb wore many hats—as a devoted husband, proud father, cherished Papa, loyal son, brother, uncle, and faithful friend. His life was marked by hard work, determination, humor, his big smile and contagious laughter.

We are grateful to God for every moment we were given with him, for the legacy he leaves behind, and for the countless memories that will continue to bring us closer together and comfort our hearts.
