Jackie Rae Dreiling

Jackie was born April 7, 1932 in Portland to Howard and Marie (Henry) Schulenberg. She was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School, and also attended business school for one year. In March 1955 she married Vernon Joseph Dreiling.

For 35 years she worked for Republic Insurance, retiring as office manager in 1990. Jackie, Vern, and their family enjoyed traveling together, whether trips to the beach, Central Oregon (Vern loved to fish), or – Jackie’s favorite – Lake Tahoe. She always had a book going, and was an avid bird watcher with hummingbird feeders always full in the yard. But Jackie’s greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she spent as much time with them as she could.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vern in 1981, and by a sister, Shirley Hough, and is survived by

children Kathy Stott and husband Michael of Milwaukie, OR and their children Mandy Stott and

Chantel Gardner;

Matt Dreiling and wife Delores of Milwaukie;

Hildy Biancone and her husband Mike of Milwaukie and their son Jake Biancone;

and by five great-grandchildren.

At Jackie’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association in her name would be appreciated by the family.
