Jeoin will be deeply missed by his girlfriend Jessica Deltac; his beautiful children Jeoin Aspen (8), and Savanna (5), and their mother Anna Beckwith; his Sister Melissa, her children Andi and Anthony and wife Kaylee; his other sister Charlee and her partner Royce and children Conner and Caleigh.
Jeoin was predeceased by his parents Mary and Charles Garner from Arkansas, and his brother Frankie and sister Lisa.
Jeoin was a devoted father and friend, who cherished every moment he had with the people he loved. An incredibly passionate soul, Jeoin loved to spend his free time camping, paddle boarding, dancing at silent discos, creating art, writing poetry and taking vibrant pictures everywhere he went. Jeoin loved going on road trips and adventures with his two beautiful children and Jessica. They enjoyed exploring places like the awe-inspiring Redwood National Park in Northern California and the magical beaches and waterfalls on the island of Maui. Yet simple home-based pleasures fulfilled Jeoin greatly, like organizing his camera equipment or camping gear, playing video games with his kids, helping a neighbor, tending the backyard firepit or lovingly sharing bedtimes with his children which oftentimes included playing peaceful and enchanting compositions on his guitar.
Jeoin had a kind heart and gregarious spirit and went out of his way to help others. He was dedicated to expressing gratitude to everyone. From the person serving at the drive-through to the one pumping his gas, Jeoin took the time to sincerely commend everyone for their acts of service. His authentic words and sincere gestures warmed hearts and uplifted spirits of friends, family, co-workers and strangers alike.
Jeoin will also be missed dearly by his friends and co-workers at the special effects studio, Refuge VFX. And by all the families he helped over the years with their homes and lives.
A private viewing for friends and family will take place at 11:00am on Thursday June 15, 2023 at Ross Hollywood Chapel / Dignity Memorial at 4733 NE Thompson St, Portland, Oregon.
A Celebration of Life for Jeoin will be held at a later date this summer of 2023 for all who wish to join. Post your interest below.
And please consider taking a moment to share any words or experiences on this page dedicated to the Magical Life of Jeoin Crow.
A poem Jeoin felt was true ...
Come to my funeral dressed as you
would for an autumn walk in the woods.
Arrive on your schedule; I give you permission
to be late, even without good cause.
If my day arrives when you had other plans, please
proceed with them instead. Celebrate me
there—keep dancing. Tend your gardens. Live
well. Don’t stop. Think of me forever assigned
to a period, a place, a people. Remember me
in stories—not the first time we met, not the last,
a time in between. Our moment here is small.
I am too—a worldly thing among worldly things—
one part per seven billion. Make me smaller still.
Repurpose my body. Mix me with soil and seed,
compost for a sapling. Make my remains useful,
wondrous. Let me bloom and recede, grow
and decay, let me be lovely yet
temporal, like memories, like mahogany.
