

John was born October 1, 1919 in Madras Oregon and passed peacefully November 10, 2014 at the age of 95. John was the oldest of three children, a sister Val and brother Norman. John attended schools in Portland, including Franklin High School, then graduated from Madras High. John then enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1942 and was Plans and Training Officer for the Officers Armament School stationed in Yale University, rank of Captain. In June 1944 John married Marjorie Ann Beaubelle, the love of his life, until her passing in 2004. They started their family after the war and were blessed with three children, Michael, Robert and Janet. John was a career CPA and owned Serval Business Services.
John was an avid sportsman, to include golfing, fishing, hunting and bowling. During his years of bowling he accomplished six 300 games. John was also a passionate gardener. In 1969 he and Marjorie joined the Tyee Yacht Club and were lifetime members. In 1940 John became a Mason, making him a member for 74 years, and active in Eastern Star as well.
The last ten years of his life were spent with his Loving companion Leta Wyler and was loved by her family as well.
He leaves behind his three children, Michael (Cindy), Robbie (Vickie), Janet (Bruce), Brother Dr. Norman, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Loving appreciation to Providence Hospice Care and RN Katie McCarthy for superb end of life care. Donations to Shriner’s Children’s hospital and St Jude for children in his name, appreciated.
Funeral service will be held Friday November 21 at 11:00am at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. Viewing November 20, from noon till 4:00pm.
