

John honorably served his country in the Navy in the 1960s, and it was during this time that he met Lilieni Leomiti while stationed on Oahu. Their 61 years of marriage endured until his passing.
During his working life, Mr. Wiseman was a plant engineer in the aircraft industry. He was also a journeyman welder and instructor. He loved being outdoors, and camping, and was a master hunter and an avid fisherman. A true “Mr. Fix-it,” his nickname to those who knew of his many skills was, “MacGyver.”
John was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina, in 2006.
He is survived by his wife Lilieni; children Florence and spouse Ron, Annette, Trisha and spouse Vic, and Rebecca and spouse Joey; nephew Firipele and his family Lupe, Bruce, David and spouse Kim, Junior, and Boris; grandchildren Miranda, Taliesin, Ashley, Emily, and Travis; and great-grandchildren Bentley and Parker.
A committal service with full honors will take place at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon on Monday, April 21 at 1:00 pm. Those attending should arrive by 12:30 pm to receive instruction and be led in a vehicle procession to the service site.
