She was born on October 14, 1939. Karen graduated from Hillsboro High School, "Hilhi," in 1957. She was married to Richard "Dick" Svatos on June 24th, 1961.At various points in her life, Karen lived in Oregon City as well as Canby, but she spent most of her later years in Portland.
Karen had a passion for gardening and was a member of the Sunny Hills Garden Club in Portland.
She is survived by her son Troy, her son Todd, daughter-in-law Treesa, as well as her granddaughters Amee and Arin.
