Larry Thomas Chesterfield

Larry Thomas Chesterfield, age 71, of Portland, Oregon passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Larry was born September 9, 1950 to the late Rosie and Gabe Chesterfield in Barfield, Tn. He was preceded in death by his son, Fred Martin; sister Rosie "May" Nelson; brothers-in-law, Jerry Nelson and Johnny Nelson; sister-in-law, Judy Nelson; nephew, Andre' Chesterfield; and great nephew, Later Lillard.

Larry attended Rutherford County public schools until his sophomore year at Holloway High School. He dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed barbecuing all types of food. He liked to fish and socialize with friends. Larry and Elaine married on May 25th, 1972 in Vancouver, Washington and had two children, Dejuan and Ebony.

Larry leaves to cherish his lasting memories, his wife Elaine of 50 years; son DeJuan (Monique); daughter Ebony (Tyler); sisters, Gloria (Frank) Gaines, Fatima Chesterfield, Thelma Chesterfield, Velma (Bruce) Mitchell and Darlene Chesterfield; brothers, Andrew Chesterfield, Jerry (Toni) Chesterfield, Jessie Chesterfield and Donald Chesterfield; sister-in-law, Margaret Beasley; grandchildren of Portland, Oregon, Teanna, Jamarrea, Raven, InJae, Asiah, Moses, Kamiya, Larry Jr. (Bo), Jayon and Laila; grandchildren of Tennessee, Justin, Desmond, Denzel, Dejuan; great-grandchildren of Portland, Oregon, Jaslynn and Xyla; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
