

Laudie Adamski, local pharmacist for 50 years, died Saturday, May 3, 2014; he was 89 years old. Laudie was born and raised on a wheat farm in New Hradec, North Dakota. He had eight brothers and sisters. Laudie was ten years old when his family moved to Oregon; his dad changed careers from farming to cutting wood for fuel. Laudie joined the service in World War II. He served four years in the Army as a medical specialist. After his service, Laudie graduated with a pharmacy degree from Oregon State University. He served as a pharmacist in the local community for many years. Laudie is survived by his four children – Sherri Dyck, Debra Craine, Michael and Curt. He lived to enjoy eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was a sports enthusiast and loved playing golf! A Rosary will be said at 12:30pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at All Saints Parish, 3847 NE Glisan St., Portland, OR 97232. There will also be a military gravesite ceremony honoring Laudie on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd in Portland.
