Leaetta White Myers graced us with her presence on April 7, 1922. Leaetta’s parents were the late John White and Aline White – Laird. Leaetta had two sisters Maxine Pace and Ella Mae Powell, and one brother Garlind White. They all lived on a farm. One of Leaetta’s fondest memories were of her and her sisters going down to the lake as children. Their mother didn’t want them to get their dresses wet, so they would pull their dresses up to their knees so that their dresses wouldn’t get wet while they played. Leaetta enjoyed playing with the farm animals. Leaetta got married to her husband Aretha Price and had 3 sons: Austin Leon Price, Lawrence Alvin Price and Eddie Wayne Price. Leaetta married again to Adolph Myers and relocated to Portland, Oregon and had 4 children: Patricia Brinkley, John Myers, Adolph Myers Jr. and Tanza Taylor. Leaetta was a maid for many years and she decided to go to Mt. Hood Community College to become a licensed Cosmetologist. Leaetta had a beauty shop called Evelyn’s. She enjoyed working in the yard and garden. Leaetta has 3 sons that are deceased: Austin Leon Price, Eddie Wayne Price and John Andrew Myers. Leaetta out lived two of her siblings as well as her two husbands: Aretha Price and Adolph Myers. She leaves to cherish her memory: Lawrence Price, Patricia Brinkley, Adolph Myers Jr., Tanza Mozee – Taylor, many nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Maxine Pace, Ella Mae Powell, and 1 brother: Garlind White. Leaetta attended church at Blessed Sacrament and was a proud member of the Legion Mary, a group of ladies that get together on Monday nights to recite the rosary.
