Lillian Bennett

Lillian was born in Michel, B.C., Canada on November 11, 1928, to Oliver and Catherine Robinson. Lillian was a schoolteacher in Canada. In 1955, she married Robert (Bob) Bennett, they shared 57 years together. They moved from Nelson, B.C., Canada to Spokane, WA in 1962 then to Milwaukie in 1969.

Lillian loved to cook and hosted many family gatherings. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, reading, card games, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored as they did her. She volunteered at their school and made use of her teaching skills while they were in her care.

Lillian is survived by her daughter Debbie (John) Derr, son Douglas (Breona); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her parents Oliver and Catherine Robinson; brother Sydney and sister Ila.

A graveside funeral service will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. in Portland. Those attending are asked to meet at the funeral home office by 10:45 am in order to be led in by vehicle procession.
