Madeline Dee Collins, affectionately known as "Maggie Magoo," peacefully departed this life on June 26, 2024. Born on February 24, 1954, to Constance Wauneda Graziano and Agostino John Graziano, known as "Joe," Maggie grew up alongside her four brothers Rick, Chris, Joe, Dominic, and her two sisters, Mary Jo and Terri. The siblings shared an inseperable bond throughout their lives.
Maggie attended St. Rita's and graduated from Parkrose High School in 1972. In 1977, she met Michael Collins at a dinner gathering, where a night of pool sparked a lifelong connection. A week after meeting they played a volleyball game together. It immediately became clear: The pair were soulmates. They married on July 30, 1977, in Portland, Oregon.
Her career at DHS was marked by a passion for helping others, a calling she pursued with dedication. Her legacy continued through her work in the Special Education Department at Clackamas High School until her retirement, where her infectious spirit, laughter, and warm smile left an indelible mark.
Maggie cherished moments with her family, delighting in picnics, nature drives, hunting camping trips, and hours of card games. She had a deep love for the beach and the family's lake house, finding joy in every moment spent with loved ones.
Maggie is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, three children, Erin, Kimmy, and Michael, as well as 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Maggie considered her friends and children's friends to be family, leaving a positive impact and touching hearts wherever she went. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, her presence bringing light to every room. The world bids farewell to one of its finest souls, dearly missing Madeline Dee Collins, whose memory will forever be cherished.
