Kay lived the majority of her life in Portland, where she was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. She was an animal lover, she treated her dogs as humans and loved them deeply. In her spare time she enjoyed driving around Portland to look at old houses or taking her dog on playdates.
Kay is survived by her dear friend Barbara Olson Brown and longtime caregiver and friend Lori Sanders.
