

Marjorie Ripley passed away peacefully at The Springs of Wilsonville on May 6, 2014 at the age of 89. Marge was born in Lacrosse, Washington to Mark and Velma Camp. After Marge’s graduation from high school the family moved to Spokane, WA. There she worked as a teller at Old National Bank. She met and eventually married Captain Dr. Richard Ripley on April 28, 1945. After his army service duty ended they moved to Illinois where they raised their family for many years. They eventually made a big family move West and settled in Portland, OR in 1964. After a 25-year career with US Bankcard in their marketing division Marge retired to Summerfield in Tigard. There she enjoyed golf, gardening, playing bridge with friends and hosting family get-togethers. Marge then moved into The Springs of Wilsonville assisted living facility where she received exceptional care for 7 ½ years till her death. Marge is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Richard A. Ripley Sr. and her son Richard A. Ripley Jr. Surviving are her daughters Linda Recob (Richard) of Redmond, WA; Lorre Spelman (Thomas) of Tigard, OR; Leisa Anderson (Tim) of Fresno, CA; Letty Hiller (Ron) of Lake Oswego, OR; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at 11:00 am, May 23, 2014 at Skyline Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline, Blvd., Portland, OR.
Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
