
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Edward Wann, who was born on January 31, 1952, and passed away peacefully at home, after an extended illness, on July 21, 2025. He was 73 years of age. He lived in Portland, Oregon his entire life.
After graduating from Central Catholic High School, and while attending Portland State University, Mark began working at Hollingsworth print shop in downtown Portland. Eventually, he became a bindery technician and continued working at different printing companies throughout his work life. Outside of work, Mark loved to be with his family and friends and was a doting uncle. He enjoyed travelling and spending time, often camping, at the beaches and mountains in Oregon. Mark especially cherished the memories of his many trips to his family’s second home at Pine Hollow Lake, near Wamic, Oregon when he was growing up.
He is survived by his sister, Karen La Voie (Marv), of Hillsboro; brother, Bob Wann (Marcie), of Klamath Falls; Three nephews, Kevin La Voie of Campbell, CA, Matt La Voie (Jamie) of Portland, Sam Wann (Carrissa) of Fairview, and very close friend and longtime caregiver, Merdith Crawley, of Portland. He also is survived by seven great nieces and great nephews. He was pre-deceased by his dad and mom, George and Mereida Wann, and by his niece, Michelle Rai La Voie.
There will be a graveside service at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
