Martin Peter Riis of Portland died Sept. 7, 2016 from natural causes at the age of 94. Martin was born July 26, 1922 in Cushman, Oregon to Martin C. and Betty Riis. He was raised in Cushman, Reno and Eugene. He graduated from Eugene High School. Martin did many things in his life. He retired from Tektronix in 1984 as a production manager. Martin served in the Army in WWII. He served in the signal corps. He married Lillian Olof in 1942. She predeceased him in 1998. He married Carmen Weber 2001 who also predeceased him in 2005. Martin loved the outdoors. His favorite activity was salmon and trout fishing. Martin is survived by his son Chris Riis, a granddaughter Diane Stagg, two great grandchildren Jesse and Cierra Stagg and two great greatgrandchildren Scarlett and Johnnie Stagg. No service will be held per Martin's request.
