Matt was born in Portland, OR on April 21st, 1951. Following six years of service in the US Navy, he met his wife Joyce in Rockaway Beach at the Twin Rocks Friends Camp and they married in 1977. He graduated with a DDS degree from the OHSU School of Dentistry and spent over 35 years providing excellent care to his patients. During his career, he served missionaries in the United States and Canada through Village Missions. He also spent many years teaching prospective dental assistants at his local skills center. He worked for Wendel Family Dental Centre for 17 years and Willamette Dental Group until he retired in 2020. His generosity and humor will be sorely missed.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years. He is survived by his children, Andrew and Jaime.
A memorial will be held to remember Matt on March 25th at 1pm located at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 11801 Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland OR 97068.
