Curious explorer, extraordinary musician, questioning intellectual, whimsical wit, friend, brother, son. Michael, your mind, your spirit, and your talent were too much for this Earth to contain. Michael Heppner died in his sleep Thursday night as the Perseid meteors began their yearly spectacle. We don't know why. Perhaps he joined them to find the peace and adventure he sought on this Earth. We will miss our brilliant star immeasurably. Michael is survived by his twin brother, Corey; sisters, Alison and Rachel; parents, Sally and Gregg; his grandparents, Verna Porter, Ed and Evelyn Heppner, Shirley and Tom Murray, Alan Stokes; his aunts and uncles, Caryn Ruch and Tim Ruch, Dan and Judi Stokes, Crystal Cabot; his cousins; Jessica, Josh, Francie, Lacey, Andrea, Lizzie; and his incredible and extensive circle of loving friends.
