Mun Yop Han was born in Busan, Korea, on February 2, 1956, to her father, Jong-Ok Kim, and mother, Bun-Seon Kim. She transitioned into Heaven peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 70, in Salem, Oregon, surrounded by her loving adult children.

Mun is survived by a nurturing and devoted family: • Her three sisters and brother in Korea • Her daughter Janet and son in law Frank, their children Koreen, Nick, Ramon, and Mireina, and grandchildren Frankie, Maiya, and Victoria • Her sons Brian and Sung • Her son Chong-Jin and grandchildren London and Alex (New York) • Her son Chong-Sik and daughter-in-law Tammy, and granddaughter Chloe

Mun moved to Alaska in 1976, beginning a new chapter marked by courage, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. In 1988, Mun and her husband, Tae Han, settled in Oregon, where they embraced entrepreneurship. They purchased Maridon’s, a breakfast café in Forest Grove, and built a lasting legacy of love, hospitality, and friendship within the community. They later continued their entrepreneurial journey by purchasing a corner market in Carlton, which they successfully operated for decades.

Through every season of life, Mun led with love, kindness, dedication, and quiet strength. She was a loving mother, family member, and friend known for her caring heart, her willingness to help others, and the love she gave so freely. Her gentle presence brought comfort and tranquility, and her steady strength inspired everyone who knew her.

Mun leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her guidance, wisdom, and warmth will forever be remembered by the people she loved most.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are deeply grateful for the time we were blessed to share with her. Mun will be profoundly missed yet forever remembered.
