Pam was born in Portland, Oregon in 1944 and grew up in Tigard. She graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University (OSU) and a degree in Medical Technology from Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). Following graduation, Pam continued to work at OHSU for 10 years in the emergency and chemistry labs. While at OHSU Beckman Instruments recruited her to serve as a support engineer and she moved to Redmond, Washington. For the next 17 years she traveled to Western Canada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Northern California to install new lab equipment and train laboratory personnel. Pam left Beckman to join Olympia Medical Laboratory in Olympia, Washington to support the Lab’s client laboratory reporting system. She ended her professional career at the Western Institutional Review Board where she worked for the next 15 years as a Regulatory Specialist overseeing pharmaceutical clinical trials.
Pam was the daughter of Courtney and Barbara Lasselle and is survived by her brother, Dale Lasselle of Tigard, Oregon, and her sister, Joan Lasselle (Stanley Shell) of San Francisco, California. She was a devoted aunt to Andy Lasselle (Rachel), Grant Lasselle (Bryony) and Lauren Shell. She will be remembered by other family members and many friends in both Oregon and Washington State.
In addition to her professional career, Pam was an accomplished photographer, expert candy maker (the best pecan rolls ever), and created beautiful hand work (sewing, knitting, and needle point) that will be cherished as family heirlooms. She had a lifelong love of small animals and supported animal rescue organizations.
Pam will be buried at Skyline Cemetery in a private family service. The family will host invited friends at a luncheon and memorial following the burial.
Pam can be honored by contributions to the Bonnie Hays Small Animal Shelter in Hillsboro, Oregon, or another charity of your choice.
Arrangements are by Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.finleysunsethills.com for the Lasselle family.
