1931 - 2025
Patricia A. Langdon, 93, of Portland, Oregon passed away on January 5th, 2025. Patricia, or “Pat”, was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Pat was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and grew up in a large family with twelve siblings, raised by her parents Anna and William. She moved with her family to Drain, Oregon in 1945 and attended Yoncalla High School, where she met her future husband Robert “Bob” Langdon. They married in 1948 and began a life together that spanned nearly six decades.
After initially making their home in Drain, Pat and Bob moved to California, following job opportunities and family. They eventually returned to Oregon and moved to Portland, where they lived for the rest of their lives and raised seven children together.
Pat was a devoted mother who worked hard to make sure her children had the life skills they needed to succeed, from self-reliance to good manners. She was a loving wife and partner, sharing life’s joys and challenges with Bob. They married as teenagers and strove to provide a loving home for their family, while also making time for each other along the way. Pat enjoyed many of life’s adventures, but her favorites included: family camping trips to the Oregon coast, fishing and crabbing out of Tillamook Bay; throwing fun, memorable gatherings for family and friends, and especially enjoying every moment of being a grandmother. Pat was quick to share a laugh with others and had a special spark that came through in so many ways, with a personal style reflected in her fashionable outfits, beautifully kept garden, and home décor. Pat was a also lifelong, devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Portland..
Pat will be deeply missed and often remembered by her children Yolinda Sheron, Richard Langdon (Valarie), Timothy Langdon, Charlotte Pyle (Milton), Robert Langdon (Mary), Patricia Langdon (Martin), and Margaret Brunette (Donald); grandchildren, nieces, nephews, her brother James, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bob.
